American Animal Hospital Association
We are passionate about pets, and we are committed to holding ourselves to a higher standard. Gentle Touch Animal Hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), an elite group of only 17% of veterinary hospitals in North America. The American Animal Hospital Association sets the gold standard in veterinary care for pets. Our voluntary accreditation represents our commitment to providing top quality care for your pet. Because your beloved pet deserves nothing less.
Our veterinary team values educating, as well as giving back to, our community. We look for opportunities to share our expertise and volunteer our time with our clients and our community. Our staff is actively involved in many community outreach programs to promote pet health and increase awareness as well as lend a hand where we can.
Dr. Tasky is on the board of this wonderful Non-profit Organization in Denver. They recognized that in a bad economy too many families were having to choose between feeding their 2 legged and 4 legged family members. This will help in preventing that from happening. They accept food, treats and of course financial assistance. Anyone who needs help is welcome to partake in their products.
Gentle Touch Animal Hospital is proud to support cancer survivor, Allison Winn, and the Stink Bug Project. This amazing organization supports families stricken with childhood cancer and provides well-trained, loving companion dogs for the patients. Help support Stink Bug by purchasing Allison’s homemade dog biscuits and Gentle Touch will match 50% of the proceeds! Allison has also been featured in the Denver Post read more about this amazing cancer survivor.
Other Community Outreach Programs
To thank our community for helping to make us one of the best Denver Veterinarian’s, it is our pleasure to sponsor and/or participate in many community programs.
To highlight just a few of them:
Southmoor Park Homeowner’s Association Annual Picnic
We have provided many items and services over the last 5 years to be raffled at the picnic. This year we decided to expand our services and provide a pizza party and an ice cream social, to be held at the hospital! We love being able to give back to the community that supports us. We have the best vets and staff in Denver!
Southmoor Elementary School
We have been a financial sponsor for the silent auction for the last 10 years. The money that is raised at the auction helps to fund teachers and pay for supplies. We donate auction items such as Free Exams and “Vet for a Day”. “Vet for a day” has been know to cause quite a “ruckus” among the parents vying for it for their kids!
Montessori School of Denver, St. Mary’s Academy, Ben Franklin Academy and Regis Jesuit Highschool
These schools are proud particpants in our “Vet For a Day” program. It is an exciting experience for the kids that earns a lot of money for the schools. Our vets look forward to the days when they have eager children observing them throughout the day. Most of them leave here stating they definitely want to be a vet when they “grow up”!
Tri For the Cure
We were a proud sponsor of the 2009 Denver race that helped raise money for breast cancer research. On registration day we handed out over 2,000 bags of animal cookies and wished the racers luck!
Colorado Petaid Fund
We are an on-going sponsor to this fantastic organization. They give help to any pet in need.
Colorado Vincentian Volunteers
We annually support this group and their many good works, including helping some of Denver’s most impoverished people. They do this by serving agencies such as Stout Street Clinic, The Gathering Place and Samaritan House, as well as many other too numerous to name.
Canine Companions For Independence
We proudly discount all vet care for our clients who are training dogs for this amazing program. It is so rewarding to see these wonderful dogs adopted out to such an appreciative owner after they graduate their training!
The Denver Jacees
This organization provides services to lower income kids through the Chamber of Commerce. In 2013, they found us and asked us to help them out. It was our pleasure!
It is a pleasure to serve you and our community. Please contact us to schedule an appointment. We are here to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have regarding our services or your pet’s health. We are accepting new clients, and we invite you to visit our animal hospital to view our virtual hospital tour.
