My mom says I have wanted to be a veterinarian since the 4th grade. I guess if mom says it, it is true. I grew up in Virginia (just outside of Washington D.C.), and l remember begging my local veterinarian to hire me when I was 13 or 14 years of age. I finally wore him down, and was thrilled to be hired as a kennel assistant at the age of 15. I obtained an Animal Science degree (even had to Iearn how to work with large animals) at Virginia Tech, and was fortunate to get accepted to Auburn University and graduate from vet school in 1991. I immediately came to Denver after graduation and worked at other area clinics for about 9 years prior to opening Gentle Touch in 2000.

l am very passionate about meeting the needs of all our clients and patients, and treat all patients as if they were my own. I am most proud of the programs l have developed to offer preventive care to all patients in a fear free environment. I think the human animal bond is extremely important, and strive to offer all I can to extend that bond to every client and pet for as long as possible.

When not at the hospital (yes that does happen on occasion), I love to travel and pursue my other passion of photography. I also enjoy many of the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer, and try to get to a concert at Red Rocks at least once a year. I currently have one dog at home (Stella) who seems to be the unofficial mascot of Gentle Touch, and enjoy spending time with her and the rest of my family.
